VISUAL AND PERFORMANCE ARTS
Students with developmental, physical and emotional disabilities should feel welcome to experience art that they create without rigid prescriptions. The benefit of using the arts as an outlet for the expression of their feelings, hopes and dreams can be enormous. Examples of visual arts include: painting and drawing; clay hand-building techniques; digital photography and videography, combined with computer usage to provide experiences in visualizing, planning, outlining and self-exploration; and cartooning, Performing arts may include self-expression through music, song and acting; music and movement; and puppetry.
