PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS

Why are preschool services important?

Preschool intervention services are important to identify, evaluate and educate as early as possible those children whose healthy development is compromised and provide for appropriate intervention to improve child and family development.

Parents may wish to use this checklist as a guide when they visit preschool programs. Please be sure to contact your Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) Chairperson before contacting preschool programs. Programs can only set up tours for children who have already been approved by their CPSE to receive services in such settings.
