THERAPEUTIC HORSEBACK RIDING
Throughout the country, there is a growing use of therapeutic horseback riding for children with autism spectrum disorders. This development is based on the recognition by therapists and clinicians of the vital role of therapeutic riding in the rehabilitation of children with Autism. For youngsters with this disability, therapeutic horseback riding can lead to improvements in verbalization, visual and auditory learning, spatial relations, social interaction, attention span, self-control, cooperation and self-esteem.
